Do you need coverings for decoration, privacy and/or heat/sun control?

IMO first think about how much window covering you need . I see very little need for privacy so my advice soloar shades motorized on that corner window and just rollup ones on the patio door . They control heat and UV let you keep the view and are minimal I love them for all those reasons I use 10 % in eirhr charcoal or bronze color to give you the best view . If privacy is a big issue then mix them with drapes for nightime but they give you daytime privacy.

Chispa we need the for the afternoon sun, it can be blinding, and although the windows are heat rated the added heat protection would be a plus as well

Patricia, from a design standpoint would you ever leave the corner open (block the sun from outside as you suggested) but then have interior cover on the slider?

You can install just drapery panels or woven wood blinds and drapery panles that are fixed and do not close.

On the second photo the woven panels are like Roman shades? Love the mirror over the buffet :) we are just about to tackle wall hangings

The solar shades are not outside they are inside just like any blind . Drapes are in this case a reall add on for looks but with the shades no need from what I can see. for privacy.

I wasn't suggesting a mirror on the back wall. Frankly the room needs more textures and so a canvas or some other type wall decor could help the room.
