The Fandeliers you are posting are not large enough to be used over your dining room table. It should be no smaller than 30" in diameter.

I'd place something over your existing china cabinet to make it appear taller.

I'd still select patterned drapery panels that GO TO THE CEILING, but in a smaller pattern to add some texture to this plain room.

@BeverlyFLADeziner, I really liked the first photo that you sent me with the white panels and woven blinds. It feels breezy and light to me, which is the vibe I am going for- the patterned curtains feel "heavy," and I wanted a change from that.

I LOVE the idea of the art above the china cabinet, it adds interest and definitely makes the room look larger. Do you have a link for what you pictured here? And/or a link for the light fixture?

Lastly, some people recommended a patterned rug under the table- that may add more interest to the room...thoughts? Thank you!

Thank you @BeverlyFLADeziner- Are you going with the darker shades to match my tables and cabinent? I really like the look of the lighter shades shown in the first picture I posted. Do you think that will work?

Also, ALL of my curtains throughout my house are hung at the same height, I feel if I change this in the morning room- I will have to change it up throughout the house, which will mean needing longer curtains everywhere. Unfortunately, that isn't in the budget right now. The room is a bit "kicked back" so possibly can get away with just doing this room, but not sure if that works not being consistent.

I also like the lighter natural fibre roman shades with the white curtains. And as suggested by @BeverlyFLADeziner, wall art above the china cabinet give height to the room. I suggest a large white vase with a plant with flowers for your dining table decor directly on the wood, no runner. Also showing the fandelier you just ordered.

I don’t know what is visible when you’re at the table, but here are some ideas for rugs. Some are from Wayfair, some from Rugs.com. Using painter’s tape, figure out where the chairs are when people are about to sit down. Your rug needs to be even larger than that rectangle.

First ones are very non-traditional.

Hi all, my Fandaleir came in and I scheduled an appointment with Blinds.com to come measure! Quick follow-up question- If you see the original picture I posted, there is an adjacent sliding glass door- should I plan for woven vertical blinds and white curtains that match the 3 windows? I am assuming yes, but wasn't sure about the vertical blinds...

I can't see the detail of your sliding glass door but I would try to treat it in the same style ar the other windows in the room, not necessarily the blinds below but no vertical blinds.

@lisedv, I didn't realize vertical blinds are out- but I really like the look of what you have shown! I just am not sure if that would be "too much" with big woven blinds to match the windows.

Natural fibre vertical panels that can slide off the window and under the drapery panel can be one solution.

Why the roman shdes at all ? I rarely like woven wood shades so I probably am in th minority . I like to see out my windows so if heat and UV is the big issue do solar shades they control those and let you keep the view then if nightime privacy is an issue do drapes and those can be like you show. I never like fand above a dining table or in kitchens they cool food off to quickly . I like the white shade but not as a fan . It would be nice to see the rooms next to this space since they need to work together , Just FYI if tyou ever want help with another space keep only one post to deal with it . So now we need to go to the other post and back and forth which trully is a PITA
