How old is the house? Is this the only window with the issue? What does it look like on the interior

About 30 years old. this is the only window where we noticed any cracks. nothing noticable on the inside. the wondow is hard to open / close. Im also attachimg the bottom of the picture where it looks lile there is a slight gap on the right side.

Something doing there. The crack, if from the lintel, is usually above the line where your crack initiates from. Unless the window was always out of square, that wall could be moving a bit.

Definitely have it looked at prior to replacing that window as you don't want to have the same issue after the replacement.

I wouldn't let it effect my decision to buy the house.

See the long vertical join at upper right of first pic? that brick on the upper right of first pic has already been repaired.

Thank you! To me, the cracked brick in the first photo looks like it continued to run along in the mortar. So is that control joint meant to stop that crack from continuing?

Looks like a steel plate into the mortar.

That's why I asked - it doesn't look like it goes into the mortar joint - it looks like it goes into the middle of a brick! Maybe the OP could post a close-up picture.
