Our home gets direct western sun (Sebastian Fl, zone 9). We've tried planting stuff next to the home, even sod. It all burns up and dies within weeks. Our home is a grayish blue color so nothing too dark that creates heat like black. We just need something to go around the front so it's not just sidewalk and home. The back of our garage faces walking to front door. We need curb appeal that can handle heat and easy to maintain with a hedge trimmer. Thank you in advance for any advice you can give.
