Furniture, style, rug/carpeting, bedding, and window treatment play an important role in not only a color choice, but its undertone. Can you provide a picture of your room.

I painted a room BM Marry Me toned down to 50% color. It's still pink, but on dreary winter days, the color is so warm, we often thought the lights were left on.

I would paint the ceiling, walls and trims SW Alabaster.

Choose bedding in the color you want to be the 'color'

the Alabaster will reflect a soft tone of that color.

What is the flooring in the room, carpet? How about a photo of what it looks like now?

For north light, my experience has been in the warm purple tone of B.M. Excalibur Gray. With the white vaulted ceiling, it will show beautifully. You need to see a sample as there definitely more purple than gray.

Where are the pics of the room that is the only way to answer this question. I usually use the bedding to drive wall color and the style is also driven by the bed and bedding so post pics here in a comment

I understand why a picture is helpful, the room in being worked on so pictures will only show the mess. Its a very general question to see what people have liked in their own space.

A duvet cover can always be changed out easily so not sure how vital it is to see that. Our furniture for that room is Ethan Allen, sleigh bed and dresser in dark walnut color. Totally understand those who are unable to give any general guidance without having a picture to look at. The point is to change the specifics (other than the bed/dresser) to work with a new color. Not to match what is there already.

THis is like grabbing a color from a hat no context who knows wall color is huge thing in a space and yes you can change bedding but the colors and style of that are IMO the place to start.
