Give it time to get popular. It's pretty new. Last country listed in which it was released was Australia, in 2024, where it is called Lionheart. How Palatine got it, who knows? It may still be in trial gardens in Germany, ready to get an ADR designation. If that happens, it should hit the US market flying of the shelves.

Yours is very pretty. It seems to start out with a hybrid tea, exhibition form with outer quilled petals and develops a quartered center as the bloom progresses. Courage has a nice color, richer and more vivid than my Oh Happy Day, which it closely resembles. Oh Happy Day is an ADR rose, and my young bush had a lovely first flush for such a young bush. It should be black spot resistant big time, which is mandatory here where black spot takes no prisoner!

I think you picked a winner. Do you have black spot pressure where you garden? If so, How does your Courage Eleganza fare concerning black spot? By now, the end of July fast approaching, if CE is black spot resistant it should have pristine foliage. If you regularly spray all your roses with a fungicide you wouldn't know for sure, though. Whatever the case, I am certain that you are enjoying your Courage Eleganza!

I have it from Palatine and I love it. It has been in a pot with very little care and still good disease resiatnce. I bet it will do great in the ground. Whenever I shopped from Palatine I always selected ”very healthy” from their menu and found some real treasures.
