I need a much better pic of the space from further back showing as much as possible of the whole space some rough measurements are always good too

Can you provide a better picture and of whole room + a diagram of room with measurements and structural components. I have a feeling the layout may not be ideal and before adding tables, it’s important to determine/for rug placement as well.

Regarding coffee table, perhaps a square might be a better choice (depends on the layout). Hard to suggest…is this room adjacent/open to dining room, what is your style/what look are you aiming for? Have you looked on line for inspiration and save your favorites so you can narrow down. Will also help regarding window treatment, cushions (work with rug), art, and accessorizing.

I agree with both comments above. More pics & more info needed. Looks like position of rug needs tweeking. The current arrangement with only the 3 seater sofa having front feet on rug & the window seat on left not having rug completely along its length is an awkward look. At very least, pull rug forward. But, more pics & measurements will help figure that out. That will also make it more clear what the pathways into this space really are.

Turn the rug first. The long side of the rug should run parallel to the largest sofa.

To balance the over-sized scale of this sofas your room requires a larger scale coffee table.

Just a comment: Not sure the gold rug and gold sofas really complement the floor finish in this room. Be careful this room doesn't get too GOLD.

For designers, good looking, sensible design is never about just one element, one problem, or one choice. You need to show the whole room from ALL FOUR SIDES. Please provide photos all four sides of the room by standing in each corner.

Keep in mind that you're inviting some design pros and people with a design eye into your home via photos. If they walked into your actual space, they would take in all of it: all four sides, doorways, floors, windows, ceiling, built-in fixtures, lighting, trim--the "givens"--then the features that can be changed--furnishings, paint, art, rugs, decor items, etc. It's all one first impression. Same thing with photos. That's why it's important to provide well lit photos of the entire space, taken from all sides of a room regardless of the size of your problem.

Can you move the benches to bedrooms and add a chair on that side of the room? I agree it's too much tufting in one space. Spread it across your home instead.

If you go with a large wood table like Beverly's example, maybe a chair could be in a color of the rug, if it's blue or black gray I can't tell.

I was going to suggest the same as justcallmepool above - the benches would be better in a different room. Having them in the living room with those sofas = too much tufted rolled arm furniture in the same space.

The benches could be returned (if still possible) or might work at the end of a kind sized bed (if they can't be returned). Most likely there are other places that you could use them if you aren't able to return them.

Please listen to the above comments and add more photos + a scaled sketch of the room with dimensions (plus, the dimensions of your current sofas). You will receive a lot of great advice/suggestions on what to do in order to make your room look amazing!

Benches are fine in front of windows and nothing wrong with yours. You do not have too much tufting in the space. If you wanted less, you could add a pillow or two on the sofas.

@Lyn Nielson is spot on with her idea of a glass table; it was my thought, too, when I saw your post yesterday. Except, extremely rarely do I recommend glass tables to people, because they can be dangerous. Especially glass coffee tables. Definitely not safe for children and teens or any unsteady folks. Plus, only tempered glass should ever be used. So... I don't know your situation... but if you can use a tempered glass table - it could be a nice look for your glam space.

If you went with wood - a table that has a bit of an open design and not too bulky/Rustic looking would be good. I think it would be better to lean Industrial... or even a bit Traditional for the style - if a wood table.

If you have children, etc. and/or just prefer an ottoman - something in velvet could be beautiful.

For the bench table - a small drink table in black or brass or walnut.

Here are the pictures of the room from all angles. I would eventually be putting a big TV on the wall and getting rid of the TV table. Also, I would be replacing the dining table into round 4 seater table.

I do have visitors will toddler kids visiting sometimes if that matters. for glass table.

Your rug is fine. Do not entertain these people here with their nonsense. That is the very best advice I can give you... and you can take that advice to the bank.

You have selected beautiful pieces. And yes, if you have toddlers visiting - definitely no glass - and instead consider a velvet ottoman for the coffee table. It would be beautiful. You can go big on the size if you like. You can measure it out with painters’ tape on the floor to see what sizes you like best. I suggest a rectangle or square shape on the ottoman - to balance the rounded shapes in the space. The ottoman could really be just about any color you like.

And the only other suggestions I have would be: Get a Ritz Carlton type tablecloth for your dining table - to complement your elegant space. And maybe add a dimmable floor lamp in the sofa area - so you have some ambient lighting at eye level.
