layout and appliance placement help!

We are planning on knocking down the wall between the kitchen and living room to create a more open concept and expand our kitchen. the walls in red will be knocked out

The dining room area will turn into a nook like such

the area between the kitchen and living room will become a 9 ft long peninsula with counter height seating. The 2 windows on the Left side will be closed up and cabinets will extend along that wall.

The back wall will turn into cabinet space on the bottom and a 6ft wide window that opens up into the back patio like such

The door to the outside will now be on the right side back wall where the window is shown now.

There will be a 5 ft prep island in the middle of the kitchen as well.

Now I need assistance choosing where to put each appliance. We are thinking on the left side wall - fridge then oven range. And then on the back wall with the window the sink and dishwasher like shown in the photo. The Microwave will be built into island. Any different suggestions??? If we do the fridge on the left side wall I am just confused on hie to organize the upper cabinets so the view of the seat closest to the wall is not obstructed.

IMO first find out which of those walls are loadbearing for sure. I never like kitchens open to LRS nad for sure not with stools now in the LR space . I hate banguette seating even in breakfast nook so a big no if that is the only dining space for sure . I assume you live where it is very warm all year hence the pass through window from the kitchen.. Your kitchen will only be maybe 12 ' wide when you remove the door so no room for a 5' wide island evne with no seating at it . and still have proper walkways at a min. 42" it will not work IMO. Post an actual to scale plan on graph paper with every measurement clearly marked , show every window , doorway where those lead and post here in jpeg format in a comment . But before doing that find out which walls can be removed and some clue as to budget . You are along way from the actul kitchen design and appliance placement . First you need to have the space all figured out . A bigger kitchen at the expense of a proper dining space makes no sense to me . How will ypu now get to the bedroom with this plan

I’ll let the pros chime in on appliance placement when you post a measured layout - but have you been to an adult dinner party with a dining nook? everyone is constantly getting up and sliding out to allow others to get up and get a drink etc - it looks charming for sure but is tedious IRL - at least in my experience

Have you mapped this out on graph paper with actual measurements? Seems like it is going to be very cramped.

A 150K+ project needs actual paid professional help. You have a lot of electrical and HVAC to pay to move, and will have to replace the floors in the whole house. And, you won't have any walls to place things against. And that's in addition to the beams and posts and structural changes that easily cost 1-5K per foot of wall removed. In this case, because you have intersections of walls, it's going to be more like 5K, because you will need some steel for those spans, with the ceiling entirely open to install it.
