I wouldn’t touch the brick. It’s soft, lovely and very appealing IMO. I think it would look nice with a soft/warm white or pale gray/green, such as SW Oyster Bay.

^Agree the current green looks off with both brick and roof.

I think a light gray would tone down the pink. You could put shrubs to hide the pink wall. FWIW, I think your brick is lovely.

Another option but I like your brick better.

If you paint the brick, it is going to be ongoing maintenance. I would try painting the house a different color before going that route.

Yep, what they said: the green is making the pink look super pink, not in a good way.

Paint over the green and don’t paint over the brick. Warm white is my suggestion.

I think the right white on all the trim, garage doors and gutters would soften the look. When budget allows, explore updating garage doors to have windows, and perhaps look at wood look to complement entryway door or do same white as trim.

My suggestion is for a creamy white.

IMO a dark charcoal would help the house.

If you do use a gray, be sure to lean brown and not blue as any blue undertone will also bring out the pink. Sampling is so important. The previous owners probably went wrong with the current trim color by not sampling. I would choose cream myself. Simple and classic.

Green is complimentary to pink so no green if the aim is to lessen the pink. As for the door IMO doors and side lights are one unit and should always be the same color. Maybe a dark taupe could work for the rest

Jennifer's suggestion for a light taupe + lisedv's selection of SW Pale Oak will work well. The mock up by lisedv looks really nice with your brick if you want something soft.

As others have commented, you're lucky that you have pretty brick to work with - there have been some pretty unattractive bricks that have been used on houses over the years! You don't have to change your brick (paint/lime washing), you only need to use a paint color that doesn't bring the pink tones out of the brick. I think the light taupe does that nicely.

If you use the light taupe, I think that your garage doors will blend in more with the brick. Unless you purchase wood garage doors to match your front door, I think the garage doors look better when they don't "stand out" against the color of the house.

Jennifer nailed it--the green is emphasizing the pink. Whatever color you select, make sure it doesn't have a greenish hue, or you will not lessen the pink. Many whites, taupes and grays are derivatives of green, so be careful. Bev's idea of going darker would look great--the contrast is pretty.

I am always curious why folks buy a brick house in a color they don’t like. Yes you can paint it, but then it goes from being a low maintenance surface to a high maintenance one.
Your brick is really lovely. Changing the trim color as suggested is much easier than painting the whole house and preserves the good qualities of the brick.
When paint jobs on brick deteriorate they look terrible.

I missed the part where the OP said she wanted to paint the brick. But regardless of whether the trim is green, the landscaping is always going to be present to pull the pink in the brick out. Personally, I’d go darker with the trim, as suggested above. Our brains will notice the contrast first, then the dark color, then the pink. So at least the pink isn’t the first thing you notice.

The pink brick reminds me of my parents former home. I believe they used SW Repose Gray on the trim.
