I've ordered from them, back in 2017 and I found the invoice- I didn't remember about the shipping oddity, but it was $13.60 on a $35 order, which seemed reasonable for USPS . Maybe they're just a little bit old school but I had no issues

My Goodness, Dee, please dont buy it. i have a thousand plants i could rip up by handfulls!i ive mentioned before i have Spessartbwhich is white with hints of pink.

i have the magenta. too.

i wonder if mac. wouldnt give thicker coverage than bevans. i think i had it once and it was taller and ”looser.” very pretty pink.

you could mix them in swaths of the same variety.

lat62 I'm sure shipping has gone up since then, but it looks like it was pretty reasonable then, so no reason to expect it would not be reasonable now. Thanks for sharing that bill. It's just that sometimes shipping prices vary so wildly amongst vendors, even without location/distance being factored in. But it seems like this company would hopefully be reasonable.

I did kind of want to stick with the straight up macrorrhizum - although I have to admit I was really taken with how many beautiful geraniums exist lol. I really went down the rabbit hole on this one!

However, in general geraniums don't do super well for me - gorgeous in spring and then rather ratty for the rest of the season. So I think I will be able to resist temptation on this website lol. The macrorrhizum, however, not only stay nice all season, but I have some very dry shade I need to fill.

Thank you so very much for your kind offers but I I started with the plain G. macrorrhizum so I think I'd like to have the same throughout, and not mix in any cultivars....

...unless.... do you have any photos of the geraniums you are offering to share....? I DO have a few other spots that could use some groundcover....

If you already have maccrorrhizums and want more, just pull out rhizomes, make a slit in the ground and lay the rhizome in it. They don't need more than that.

i didnt even do that much.

just cleared soil surface of debris, lay rhizome on surface and put a scoop of earth on top.

This is the best picture I have of what I've got.

However, as everybody else has said, they are easy plants to divide and make more of. I dug up maybe 2 square feet of them last year, and ended up with more plants than I kneew what to do with. About half of them ended up in the compost.

Oh wow, so maybe I don't really need to buy (or beg or borrow lol) any. I can just divide and replant. This is good to know! Thanks everyone for this info. I'll add this to my list for the fall, when things cool off a bit.
