consult a glass company to find out the cost of replacing the glass and glass design (reeded, bubble, waves, etc.) to compliment the house and privacy/light control if needed.

That's a steel or fiberglass door. You will not be changing the glass, rather the entire unit most likely.

You may have to replace the whole door to get a new look.

The fixed transom window looks like just a piece of leaded glass fit into the opening.

A glass supplier, like GoGlass, etc. could replace that piece with a plain tempered glass to fit. custom fit and sealed, without much disruption.

Thats a double door with the transom above. I agree with eliminating the double door. Go with a 42" wide single door with sidelites, you can get them sized to fill the entire opening easily enough so you do not need to reframe for the the door. Transom, I would lose entirely but that's just me.

I dont think it looks dated, but, I do think it would look nicer painted a brighter color.

I'd like to see you replace the door with a Mediterranean style one that has a rounded window above that follows the lines porch.

I could live with or easily learn to ignore the transom window. But not those doors. IMO, the doors are a much more 'dated' look than the transom is. Agree with MWM. Replace door unit with 42" wide door w/ sidelites.

I think the glass pattern is totally a dated look and in no way works on that style house . I happen to like double doors and often they are ahuge help. I like the iron doors mentined here or if you want to go more modern then the very simple style. IMO the biggest improvement would be to remove all thta shrubbery hiding your entry too.

A front door can have such a big impact. Maybe hold off until you can replace both, but in the meantime look at different combinations and get quotes. Also get quotes/ideas for updating. Hard to make a decision without looking into and knowing if worth the wait and the price difference.
