Wolf gas oven - any issues?

Does anyone with the Wolf all gas oven have any issues with the oven turning on or staying on at the correct temperature?

I had a Bertazzoni gas oven that would frequently turn off at start (after turning on for a few minutes), or if the oven door was opened in the middle of cooking. Using the oven was always anxiety-inducing and I want to avoid this experience again. Did I just have a crappy Bertazzoni or is this something that commonly happens with all gas ovens?

Our Wolf All Gas Range is circa 2007, so I can’t speak for any newer ones, but having had other all gas ranges prior to owning this one, I would have to say that what your describing isn’t typical of gas ovens. Our oven comes on and remains on until we turn the dial to off. I haven’t checked the calibration since it was installed, but I think it reaches (and maintains) the correct temperature.

It’s true that Wolf does not offer gas wall ovens.. The only brands of gas wall ovens that I’m aware of currently are Bluestar, Frigidaire, Summit, and Verona. At least these are the only ones shown at AJ Madison‘s website. The latter two brands may pose issues for getting service, depending on where you live. The only other brand that used to offer them was American Range’s home division but their website only lists electric wall ovens now.

OP what do you mean by turns off after being on or opening door? Does the entire oven turn off or is it that it just stops heating beacuse it is up to temp but the oven is not actually off? I had an all gas Wolf range in my previous house and an all gas Bluestar range in current house. With both I turn the oven on and it heats until it reaches set temp. Then it stops heating but the oven is not off. It will start heating again if temp drops below set temp. If it is in the middle of heating and I open the door it still continues heating.

If someone discusses an "oven" without mentioning that the oven is part of a range, then commenters will assume he is discussing a separate (i.e., wall) oven.

I did mean range, not wall oven. Apologies for not being clear.

@Clyde Kalvin my old oven would stop heating and the temperature would start dropping unless I realized and started it again. It's good to know that's not something that usually happens with all gas ranges.

YES! This is my first gas oven/gas range with Wolf and having used it 3 times, the heat definitely does not regulate properly. I had a technician out and he said it is fine. I disagree - my food is taking twice the cook time. I believe it is an inferior product
