Kitchen help needed

last year
last modified: last year

We have built a new extension onto our home in France. The builder used a plasterboard wall to line the full new extension area. This wall sits out about 4 inches from the existing kitchen wall. We did not realise that this would be the case. My problem is that I wanted to run the kitchen along the full wall so essentially extend the existing kitchen units down the full wall. The difference in wall depth now means that the units in the new part are going to be sitting out by 4 inches more into the floorspace and will thus not run flush with the existing units. Is there anything we can do to disguise this difference?
