art help for hallway

Hi all! We just built a colonial/ Georgian style home and I’m struggling on wall decor. Our front door opens to a foyer and then a long hallway. On one side of hall is laundry/ pantry , other side is living room (open space) and kitchen . Struggling with art to put on the wall between pantry and laundry.. or anywhere really . That specific space is about 9 feet long and 10 feet tall. Anyone have inspiration to add some color? We have antique brass knobs for doors. Ive thought about gallery wall but seems like too big a space almost

Show pics of what is across from this space. What colors and style of furniture will be used? Do you want fun, contemporary, traditional art? Is this really a focal point you want to highlight or can this space remain blank and the emphasis shift to elsewhere in the space?

I have always done my artwork/wall hanging projects after everything else is in the house. Right now that space looks like someone is about to move in. If there is furniture and lighting and personal items in a home, the walls become easier to fill. What you already own might work well here, or you’ll want something new. I would wait and repost photos when the place is “lived in”.
