Too much zucchini?

If you have unwanted overgrown zucchini - even if it is so large you could club someone with it - consider donating it to your local wildlife rescue shelter. The one near me loves to get it. Apparently, the injured squirrels, raccoons and other mammals really enjoy snacking on them.

That is a good tip! Never even thought of that. I often have a lot of extra pattypan.

That is a very good tip. Most of my overflow goes to the neighbors or the local food pantry, but sometimes I overlook some and they get huge, so this could be a viable solution. Even my chickens get tired of them eventually.
