With the other view of the sofa and considering "you're keeping everything", I would still move the TV to the corner, remove the round green rug that doesn't coordinate with anything, remove all decorative objects on the shelf above the radiator, place the bookcase on the wall bottom left and the console table under the window. No need to have plants on the floor, it just gives a cluttered look.

For arrangement #1, you don't need a solid wall for this placement. Windows are at the back of the house.
