It’s a Red Letter Day!

Our oldest grandson had his first day of pre-school, and the youngest is officially potty trained!

DD is picking them up early from daycare and school and we’re meeting them for ice cream. I made them commemorative cards because, besides loving to paint these little things there is an inexplicable lack of cards for these particular occasions 😎

There is a need for something new in greeting cards. Start a small Etsy shop, grow it and sell the line to Hallmark or Papyrus.....

Milestones! Both of them. Particularly the potty training - will make Grandma's time and activities with him even that much more enjoyable.

I'd love to see you have a line of cards. Cards that are directed to a correct age to mark an occasion can be so difficult and for boys in particular. If you were to pursue it, please don't stop with young ages. I usually prefer and can sometimes find appropriate cards in Papyrus, but young teen boys are just the worst. The cards are either inappropriately suggestive or worded too childishly. Where is the in- between........

Love, love, love the cards! Do you take orders? I sent my 3 children's first shoes to an artist, and she painted darling watercolor prints of them. I framed and they hung in the hallway outside their bedrooms for years. They are a little treasure. Cards like this are forever!

I'm taking notes, Kswl! I'm a step behind you in the grandparent department. As parents, we can be so busy and in the weeds that we don't acknowledge these milestones. As grandparents, we have the luxury of noting how meaningful these moments are.

I just took this 8” x 8” watercolor to be framed for my son-in-law’s birthday in September. It is supposed to be two boys a bit older than their two, same age difference. This one is pretty rough but it’s my first time painting visible body parts, and I’m still such a beginner in this medium, I tried watercolors for the first time about six weeks ago 🤷‍♀️ I think he will appreciate the effort.
