Every slab will be different

Your kitchen , is not that of another homeowner, though you may get excited seeing a gorgeous kitchen belonging to someone , not you.

Best way?

You take your cabinet face, or the sample of that face whether painted or stained, along your flooring sample TO the slab /s you are looking at

....................and?

You ask that the slab/s you like be taken out into daylight, with those other elements I mentioned and you decide.

How it looks in anyone else's kitchen, is irrelevant to your kitchen your other selections, your lighting etc. : )

I realize, not what you want hear. It's the only way...the only GOOD way.

I should add.........you do exactly the same, even for Taj Mahal.

After looking at images of Montebello quartzite, I'd say it looks VERY much like Taj Mahal, so going with it due to its lower price makes all the sense in the world.

That being said, all natural stone can vary in color and pattern, so you absolutely need to view your actual slab with the other materials that will go in the kitchen. Most all stoneyards will move the stone outside for you to view in natural light, and if they don't, then go elsewhere. As Jan said, that's the only way to make sure that everything works together.
