More August Photos

I've had a couple more seedlings reblooming this week. Unfortunately, neither has many buds.

Razor Sharp X Spacecoast Night Vision

(Insider Trading X Ultimate Sacrifice) X (Red Edition X Ultimate Sac.)

Conspiracy Theory put up a scape on a fan that hadn't originally bloomed. It has 19 buds. The scapes tend to lean where I have it planted.

Dearest Valentine continues its rebloom. Flowers are lighter now that the temps are back in the 90s and we haven't had rain for awhile.

Blue Jay Tapestry had a pretty rebloom flower a couple of days ago.

The Color of Wonderful continues to rebloom.

I don't like most eyed daylilies, but that dynamic coloring on Blue Jay Tapestry makes it a beauty......That Razor Sharp seedling is a nice one. Hope it gains buds as it matures.........Maryl

Glad to see your getting rebloom. Seedlings are impressive. No rain here either. Maybe this coming week. Feels like September weather here...at least for now.

Great to see your seedlings are reblooming, not much blooming here and dry here again.

Flowers are dramatically lighter now and temps back into the nineties. We haven't had rain for over two weeks, and none in forecast.

Thanks for the comments on the seedlings! Both of those rebloomed in Nashville too.

Mantis - We did have rain in the forecast for this week, but just now I see they've lowered the chances to only 24 percent.

Julia - It sounds like the cooler weather is sticking around longer for you.

No real rain here either in about 2 weeks. I resorted to watering daylilies, and guess I am going to have to water again. Rain chances about 50/50 on the most optimistic chart, but so far every time a decent chance of rain is forecast, it drops down to nothing by that day. Nice to have such lovely seedlings reblooming!

Your two seedlings are wonderful! I hope they gain more buds as they mature. We have seen that happen when they reach 5 or 6 years old so maybe there is a chance. We had rain last week (maybe half and inch), but the plants look pretty ratty. There hasn't been much rebloom either. We have a few going strong--Autumn Minaret, Joe Burrow, Delinquent Doll--but overall there isn't much to see in the garden.

I am amazed how dark your colors are on the rebloom. Mine are so light I would not recognize the bloom if I did not know the name!! The seedlings look great. Blue Jay Tapestry looks good on rebloom. Heat and no rain has definitely impacted my rebloom this year.

Kate - We had three cooler days last week, and then it went back to low 90s for highs. The darker colored blooms followed those cooler days. I'm sure your temps were much hotter than mine.

Nancy G. - I haven't had to water any planted daylilies this year, and that is a blessing. But I never got daylilies from Spring delivery planted and am getting tired of watering so many in pots.

Nan - I hope you and I both get rain this week!

Both of the seedlings are lovely and the others are too, especially Dearest Valentine.

I am sorry but we have had your rains too, I suspect.
