Not likely. 6 hrs. minimum of direct sunlight for maximum performance. Best if total 6 hr. time is divided between morning and late afternoon sun, hours totaling 6, skipping midday sun, but you use what you have, and work with it. Full shade is not for roses.

I have a Gruss an Aachen rose that is considered shade tolerant. Limited sun really cuts down the blooms, but I do have flowers in spring.

I’m over the hills from TO, so coastal climate also means less heat plus May gray and June gloom. This year No Sky July as well.
