please help me re-architect this jack and jill bathroom

Goals:

Create one big bathroom with hallway access

The 3'x3' shower in this Jack and Jill bathroom is WAY too small.

This CAD drawing shows the existing bathroom.

The pencil drawing is my initial idea where I would make the existing closets less deep, put the shower between them, and separate the toilet and vanity. My pencil drawing is not to scale and the math doesn't exactly add up but you get the jist.

Anything I'm not considering or missing?

Any other thoughts?

The easiest layout would be this:

Since your bedrooms are larger at 14x12, the closet sizes should remain intact and walk-in appears to fit the value of house. The toilet doesn't have to move which is probably a huge relief for your downstairs ceiling. Cleans up the some of the angles in the hallway. Remove the vanity wall.

I have closets like that and they are completely wasted space. In your shoes I would 100% try to get two long reach in closets. The bathroom layout for that would be similar to the one 3 posted but turned sideways. You might not have enough width for that though.

With 3's layout you would be able to fit a linen closet if you flip it vertically so the entrance is by the lower bedroom.
