My husband and I are building a new home/barndominium. It's in the country on a few acres. We initially thought we were going to a mid or dark exterior siding, however, since it gets super hot in the sun, we are now are opting for light siding. Thinking white 7" lap siding. The front recessed part will have natural quarry stone on it, as well as a chimney and deck area at the back of the house. I am leaning toward white windows with grills. I could go to a sandstone/sable/clay window as well with a different colour exterior. I'm just not a fan of black. If we go with a white exterior with stone elements, and white windows, what colour garage doors would you suggest. I initially thought white with windows, but thought it would look too stark. Now I'm leaning to black, but unsure if it will be too harsh. The upper picture is the currently build. The windows were made larger in the front than on the rendering. The bottom picture is a rendering that was done with white exterior and wood exterior doors. Any thoughts and suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you
