Lose the curtain panels--over kill on the window treatment and they are in the way of the ladder etc. and they visually fill a room that is overly full already. The directors chair and over stuffed arm chair are 'dated' I suppose but what you need is to post a graph paper outline of the room, all it's dimensions including windows and doors and maybe someone can find a different configuration. All the seating is facing a TV that is too small and too far for real TV viewing.

Curtains are to block out the early morning and late night sin, maybe lose the inner shade?

Just need a seating solution for so may free lose the chairs, which I’m ok with. Perspective is off on photo butTV is fairly large and pulls and swivels out.

Only rearranging could be the bunks and the sleeper swap, otherwise room setup as is doesn’t work as well which I know. It’s just not used much so we’re reluctant to spend gobs of money on a seasonal home.

I might look for a solution where the long side of the bunk isn't against a wall, so that if 2 people have to sleep on the lower bed they can both get in without climbing over another person.

Bigger art. Current ones look dwarfed by the space.

I might be tempted to paint the loft bed and bunk bed white.

Bunks are twin. Agree on artwork, tall ceiling too so maybe I can scrap them OR add more and make like a gallery wall or would that look bad?

No gallery walls. There are so many hogdge podge items in here that lots of small things is here is only going to add to a cluttered feel.

The curtains are really not great in here. Why not just use a blackout roman shade on the windows to block light and say good-bye to the curtains. Instant update.

Are all the items on the bookshelves actually used by people when they are staying here or did you just need to store them somewhere? Closed cabinets would look better.
