Front Foyer Update

last year

Looking for ideas to update my front foyer. Ideally, I would like to keep the table and mirror but open to alternate ideas. I would love suggestions for what to put on the table, what to hang on the wall, and maybe add a runner. I have a small area rug in front of the door, but wondered if small one in the hall would give a nice look to the hall.

Thanks much

It's a sharp corner!

Bear with the art?

None of the above : )

I'd do this......

With this.......45" H x 17" diam.

It begs for something round, and less heavy. It begs a lighter mirror if you need that, and look at the narrow dressing mirror variety!

If you keep the mirror, hang it higher -- it is too low; aim for equal space above and below it, in this instance.

IMO using an end table in the foyer doesn't work. Also the frame on the mirror is too heavy for your architecture. Select a Corner Wood Accent Table. A mirror can be rigged to span the corner.

The mirror frame is too bulky for the spot. Yes hang much higher, centered at eye level.

I would put the mirror on the other wall, remove the framed art, no vase (on or under), replace with a colored ceramic bowl. The rug is too dark.

Keeping the table and mirror you have, I would turn the table counter clockwise, centre it on the left wall, install the mirror higher up, place a few nice books under the blue vase to fill the gap with the higher mirror, and place fresh flowers in the vase. You can also place a plant such as a fern on the shelf below, and a runner from the door down the hall.

Of course a higher table would be better such as options suggested by others but if you're not planning on replacing anything it's an option to improve the look with what you have.

I would d a round table to soften all the harsh corners everywhere or a cute chair. A chair and mirror are always nice in an entry for guests who may need to sit when they put their shoes on. A mirror is good for a quick check on how you look before leaving the house.
