Should I purchase this Pottery Barn desk or is it dated?

I found this on teen desk on fb marketplace for 175. I'm considering replacing it with my daughter's current smaller desk.
Do you think it'll look good or does it look dated?
I'll replace the white chair with a pink desk chair.

It should be her decision. "Dated" for a desk???? It's a style choice that she may or may not care for.

did the chair come with the desk as a set?

Love the pink desk chair! I would think you could find an inexpensive desk at a thrift store, if your are planning to paint it white anyway. Looks like you have room for a larger desk, or even just a farm table, and buy a file cabinet if you need one.
