I would appreciate any specific lighting suggestions for over the island in my open galley kitchen. I am posting a drawing of the approximate layout. The dimensions are not precise. Both runs will be about 10 ft. long. The ceiling is only 8 ft. I don’t want to install a pendant. Rather I would like something linear and unobtrusive. The fixture in the photo is the one I purchased to go over my dining table. The dining area is 16 X 10 ft. I would like that fixture to be the “main attraction.” I think that anything hanging down or even track lighting might compete with that fixture and I would like the fixture in the working part of the kitchen to be altogether different.
