It's very tough to understand the space. I think you need a floor plan with dimensions.

Agree with Sigrid. And, where does that dark hallway with art hanging next to the sconce go? Looks very crowded there with the big chair.

The door hits the bench? I would find piece that fits the wall the mirror is on, those coat rack/mirrored bench/storage combo antique piece that used to be so popular. I don't see a desk or anything under the stairs. I might close it in a bit and put some concealed pull out drawers for storage of off season outer gear. We need better pics of the area where the little bike is.

Wherever that dark-looking hallway goes, it looks like a narrow squeeze under the staircase. The positioning of the chair and the credenza make it even tighter. It would be best if that traffic path were made wider by removing those 2 pieces of furniture.

All that clutter should be removed form the walls and stored in the Louver Doored Armoire. An elegant bench can be added for sitting. Some of the benches come with hinged seats to store shoes. This is the front door not the mud room.
