Suggestion for blocking sun from triangular windows in Great Room

We have built a log home where the Great Room faces south. As we are nearing the winter months, the sun will be transitioning to a low southern exposure and shining into this room. Great for winter warmth; however, I will want to provide some protection from the direct sun. The larger windows on the bottom I will put celluar shades that can be used as necessary. However, the upper triangular windows are a bit of a dilema. As the sun's path travels throughout the day, the light from these windows will move about the room, being a a bit of a pain depending from where you are sitting. At present, I don't really see any option to counter this and think we will just have to live with it in the winter months when the sun is low in the sky. Any suggestions? We, of course, don't want to totally block the view from these windows in the winter months. TIA

@Fenstermann LLC, thanks, I was planning on using light filtering honeycomb shades for the lower, large windows. I wasn't aware that they could be made for odd shaped windows.

a low e film wouldn't change the look of the windows.

you can also get a custom blind made with a remote control option.

Have you been through a full year in the new house? Depending on your latitude and the height of the trees, the trees may block the sun during the some of the shorter days in winter when the sun's maximum daily elevation is lowest.

All, thanks for the recommendations. I didn't realize you could get motorized shades for trapazoid windows, will need to check into this. We do have a Hunter Douglass dealer in the area which surprised me since this locale is a bit depressed with respect to income; then again their is a large lake resort that would support such a business.

Re being in the house a full year, not living there per se, but this house has been in the build for three years, so I have seen this room in all seasons. The trees are deciduous and do not block the sun whatsoever. A low winter sun is straight in and I have been aware for quite some time how the movement of light from the upper windows will impact the seating throughout the day, but thanks for the suggestion. Installing light filtering cellular shades will be an easy fix for the lower windows, now just need to check this out for the upper windows.

I have custom made solar shades for those style of windows all the time they can even be made to ne removed during the seasons when the sun is not so intense.

@Patricia Colwell Consulting, who makes these custom solar shades that are removable? I only need sun shading from late fall through very early spring when the sun directly shines into this room. Aside from being annoying wherever one is sitting, there is the fading that will occur on the furniture, rug and even the hardwood floors. TIA.
