Prefab shed and pergola recommendations.

We're looking at bids for doing our yard. One of the prospective builders suggested using a prefab pergola and shed that they could easily put together in a day each. I'm looking for a steel pergola and a wood shed.

Our neighbor also has a wood shed from Costo that looks pretty nice. So we're seriously considering going this route. Would love some advice.

If you've used one in your yard, do you recommend doing the same and what make do you recommend? Any advice re. Costco prefab or other brands?

You do not say what a prefab shed means. You can buy plastic, metal and wood prefab sheds.

If damaged, there is no practical way to repair plastic sheds. Metal sheds are similar, repairs can not usually be done by the homeowner.

We had a shed built on site in a day. The shed is wood, and is 10' x12'. No permit in our area required. It was prefabbed as parts were made at the factory. Based on the quality of the finished shed, the price was comparable to the metal and plastic sheds.

However it came with a thicker floor that truly supports my 500 pound lawn tractor. The walls are thick enough to survive the occasional bump. It is 13 years old and looks as good to day as the day it was installed on our property.

Where is the picture of your yard? Where do you plan to place these?What does it matter what someone else has in their yard, if it may not suit YOUR yard? Which Costco prefab etc?? What does your home look like in the back forty?

See what I mean? :) No pictures and thus a Mystery Meat if you would like good advice.

We’ve been very happy with the pergola we got from Costco. My husband and I constructed all of the pieces then had a friend with 2 other men actually erect it.

My sister and brother in law just added a wooden gazebo type structure to their deck. Got it at Costco--very well constructed and attractive. It looks very similar to clt3's.

Just keep in mind that anything with a solid roof isn't technically a pergola, which has an open roof. Not sure which one you want.

I'm not sure why a picture would be more helpful, I'm not asking about aesthetics or for your help to place it in my yard, just quality of the prefab. I find your response abrasive and condescending.

In contrast, the other folks here were so helpful. I'm just tired of people being rude on social media.

My husband and I put this 8x10 together this summer. We are in our 70s and only needed help from a grandson to attach the roof. So pleased with how much storage room.
