Me, personally, wouldn't mess with it. Looks clean and contemporary right now. Shutters would be busier and make the house feel smaller, visually.

They look normal for a 1960's ranch house that has had its original windows replaced and updated with thicker white trim. If you want them to be less visible, paint the white trim to match the darker paint color on the lower wall.

1960's ranches often had decorative shutters that were never meant to look functional (unlike traditional East Coast houses' shutters). If you want to try the 1960's look, buy some foamcore board, cut it to shutter size, and put the foamcore shutters in place. Paint them in whatever color you want to try.

No shutters how could that possibly be better . Nice clean looking exterior maybe beef up the posts then go to work to enhance the landscaping

There's no easy solution, at least right now. If you ever remove the bottom cladding at some point in the future, you could do a redesign, and have some sort of design that incorporates around the windows in a vertical segment that goes down to the ground.

The simplest "fix" might be to select a darker color (rather than the current white color) for the window trim color. But with the windows you have, this might not look the best, because you likely have white color framed windows, and those can't just be easily painted over. So the white window frame might not look compatible with a dark color trim.

The windows look good to me. You could paint the trim a different color, although, I like the current color, personally. Shutters won't work, because they will be either very skinny or they will completely cover the area between the middle window and the right windon and the space between the right window and the doorway. Further, they will accentuate the fact that the windows on the left and the right under the porch are different sizes. Right now, that looks fine. As for bigger frames, you'll end up with no room between the window frame and the roof, which is look funny, too.

It's a great house, it doesn't need anything.

For your house style, clean trim framing + a couple modern planter boxes would look best — shutters might feel like an add-on since the spacing doesn’t really accommodate them naturally.

Sorry to disagree with the consensus, but these windows should have been bronze, a typical finish for modern ranch homes, and the trim should have been painted to match the stucco.
