I don’t see ”cottage charm” in 3, actually “no charm

Imo none of the descriptions suits any of the houses.

Beverly is right and also about the farmhouse one. No cottage to be found here BTW but none are true to any style really

Greenvriar appears modern French to me. Lincoln & CMX seems to be a modern intrepretation of Tudor. Unfortunately, I don't find Shoreview to be cottage like or charming.

Why do you ask?

Why do I ask? Because these were, IMO, quite similar, but the styles attributed to them quite different. So, I thought I'd ask.

This is fun! I disagree on 1 and 3.

Greenbriar (1) is cottage charm because a stone "cottage" has been attached on the right, for reasons known only to the "architect".

I think we agree that Lincoln (2) is vaguely Tudor, because of the steep gables.

Somewhat by default, Shoreview (3) is French modern mix, maybe because of the white stucco (Provence).

So can you tell us how they were described?

I can't see any of those descriptions in any of these houses. I kinda agree with Lisaam that #3 is soulless, as are #1 and #2. I'd say they're all large but dull.

The top is "cottage charm," the middle is "Tudor-inspired twist" and the last is "French Modern Mix."

Whatever they're called, they're all very unattractive.

First and second would work much better in red brick and drab trim, the third one should be lap siding. But that’s not where we are! Everything is black and white…

These homes are much more charming...wish more new homes looked like this:

Well, if #3 is supposed to be French Modern, the designer/architect should travel to France. Very few bright blaring white houses there and the stucco ones you see in Provence are more muted, earth tones, yellows, ochres, clay/pinks.

The style of that white one is being built everywhere here in Northern VA when builders buy a house, knock it down and build a house that takes up practically the entire property. Black and white everywhere. Awful.

I cannot understand these big awkward houses with no landscaping like #3 - boggles my mind (looks like they ran out of money 🙈)
