Living Room HELP

Hey everyone-I have this long living/dining room and I just don't know how to place the furniture or how to define th space properly.

The room is 30x15-windows and the tv are along one wall and the couch is against the wall in the back (yes I know the coach is blocking a door; its a mechanical room that we never need to get into).

My master and another bedroom are also along one of the other walls. I'd like to arrange the furniture so its not against one wall and more conversational instead of one long row. The recliner can go-I know its not the prettiest, but he'd love to have a recliner couch and I'd do it if it meant getting rid of something else.

The dining room wall (with the mirror on it) is about 9' and the half wall is about 8'.

Please let me know if any other dimensions are needed

So you're not remodeling??

Currently ALL of your furnishings are directly in the suggested walkway for the room.

All the items on the wall are hung too high.

I know this will seem completely foreign to you, but this layout works for your home.

There's a way to watch TV and have a conversation.

There's a location for the piano and there is still an uncluttered walkway to get through the room to the kitchen and all the other rooms.

The entry way is actually a bedroom now. The new front door will be relocated to one side of the living room, tyring to figure out now. but that is maybe in the spring time. So for now, this is it. I know this layout is horrible.

I remember you posted all of this some time ago, I had done an entire floor plan. I can't remember all de details but it included moving the entrance door and making a bed in that corner of the house where the actual entrace is.. There was also something to do with the kitchen. Why not continue the original post you had started on the same subject? At least show us the link so we can see what was suggested back then.

@lisedv yes you are correct-I did post about this months ago but the original post had us removing the wall between the dining room/living room and expanding the kitchen. But my husband doesn't want to do that anymore so here I am trying to make what I have work without removing walls at this time. I will try to figure out how to make a link to original post!

@BeverlyFLADeziner-it definitley is my perception of the room! I was hoping to still have a small dinign room table in there-do you think its possbile still with your layout?

This is the best I could do with keeping the sofa and TV aligned for viewing.

The dining table would be small

You'll lose extra seating in the TV area.

I'm guessing at the size of the sofa.

I suggest you slide the furnishings around to this layout and see what happens.

Living room zone: TV cabinet, sofa with 2 armchairs, 1 swivel armchair, coffee table, piano.

Dining room zone: 84" dining table seats 6, bufffet with mirror above.
