triptych art or one big one for this wall ?

I’m trying to decide on artwork placement in my kitchen. I have a wall that is interrupted by a structural pillar. I taped the wall to get a sense of sizing, but I’m not sure whether to go with one large piece of art or a 3-piece triptych.

Here are the measurements:

Entire wall (side to side): 273 cm / 107.5 in
From the left side of the wall to the pillar: 240 cm / 94.4 in
From the left edge of the ceiling spots to the right edge: 110 cm / 43.3 in
from top ceiling to floor 237 cm 93.3

My questions:

Would one large piece or three separate pieces (triptych) look better on this wall?
What size (width/height) would be most proportionate?
How high should I hang the artwork?

Any design suggestions or visual examples would be very appreciated!

I am an artist so I will be creating the art myself

Hard to tell from your photo.

The column is part of the island and blocks some of the view of the wall behind it, correct?

We can't tell from where in the house the art will be most visible, which might make one piece, two or three a better option.

I would get blue tape and try out different sizes and configurations. Take photos of every version from different areas in the space. Compare your photos and decide which works best.

Just look for art that you love & would like to look at everyday. I have a very similar wall in my kitchen, i bought a large , approximately 30” x 40” or so vertical print. I prefer one large statement piece, but that’s just me. You have room for just about any orientation, square, rectangular, vertical, etc depending upon size. The art in my home includes, originals, lithographs , just framed prints I’ve purchased online. A few are expensive, others not so. i’m not hung up on any particular format, I buy what I like.

Chispa yes the column blocks some of the wall. Its an apartment so the entrance is right there ( should I take another picture?). The art most visible from front door and kitchen thats it.

If I were talented enough to make my own art, I'd make one huge canvas to make it a real statement, and fill the space as best as possible, to make it seem as if the space /niche that it's in looks as if it must've been built around the stupendous piece of art!

What an opportunity, and how empowering it must feel to be able to create beautiful art that you can enjoy.

I don't care much for triptych art myself, and can't imagine I'd choose that over a single large piece.

Mrs S thank you for your persepctive. In the other rooms in the home ( I have one huge canvas on each wall ( to avoid clutter look) However I was wondering if I should break it up a little with 3 peieces and either way for either one big or 3 what size should I do it and how high to hang please Thank you

Since you are able , maybe a mural on the wall. Keeps the space from looking crowded, and would be the change you were desiring.

ohh that is an idea but I have never done a mural going to stick with canvas so 1 big or three? should I do a poll to get more responses? I really am not sure one big or three and what size I really don't know please thank you
