Need help - to keep or change out current slab in kitchen

I have terrazzo slab partailly installed in my kitchen and I can't get rid of the water stains and it is driving me nuts. Before I finish installing the rest of it, is there anything I can do, I have tried every DIY remedies and nothing has worked. I also have a spot where some vinegar spilled and the finish is now gone in that area. I actually like the honed look but not sure if that is good in a kitchen? When I purchased the Terrazzo, I could tell it had been sitting in the outside for quite a while. It is all fabricated and not sure if I have any recourse?

Terrazzo as in cement and marble mixed together and then ground smooth? Two materials notorious for staining and etching? I love terrazzo floors but seems a not great choice for a counter. Did they seal it?

What would you recommend for a kitchen counter, I like the leathered look and was thinking of black? I have white wall cabinets on the top and natural wood stain on the lowers? Do you have any ideas of what I can do with the terrazzo, it has already been fabricated. thanks, carol
