at our alottment someone cleared a weedy bed and collected emerging bulbs.

I could ID some Narcissus, awfull hybrid bluebells which were binned immediately and some tulips.

some had a completely smooth skin, and I know that there were some Darwin hybrids flowering in spring.

those in the pic

caught my eye because the skin was somewhat stripey.

does anyone recognize the type?

I am quite positive that it is some Tulipa, and dont expect those to be Darwins as well. I planted some anyway, just curiouse
