Ignore the upper part of tall walls and just decorate for the part you live in. I would paint the air return to match the wall so it disappears a bit. You just need some larger pieces of art where you have the wedding picture... I'd do three across if they are large or four if slightly smaller, but all larger than your wedding photo. Or do a gallery wall if you want, but that seems too busy for a bedroom, to me.

In some spaces an awesome gallery wall works other wise as said above just let it be. I would paint out the register grate to match the wall to help stop your eye being drawn to it.

No need to decorate above your head.

You usually keep it at eye level and leave the rest alone. Just a suggestion about your layout - I think if I worked at that desk I would prefer to face the door. I would move the desk to the other corner and then move your loveseat to where the desk is now -maybe on an angle. Depending on your preference you could hang a tv on the wall opposite the bed.

Expobaby, the desk doesn't fit next to the bed nightstand on the other wall -- not enough width -- and there's a wall with a space for a TV directly across from the couch in this setup too! So this "is" the layout that works. (I spent a lot of time with graph paper room and furniture pieces moving them around to get to this one, ha.)

Why not loose the sofa and put the t v on the wall opposite the bed. T V will fill the wall.

Not loving the green panels or the sheers (no need for sheers as you can draw the drapes at night). Find panels to match the wall making the color scheme softer.
