I see no reason why the Bobos would be nothing but helped by the extra water spilled upon them while watering your hanging basket plants above them. Hydrangeas revel in well watered environments. I visualize quite a spectacle of lovely blooming plants growing in your hanging baskets above the stunning blooms of Bobo, one of the choicest, newer, shorter versions of Limelight Hydrangea.

Have you seen Hydrangea Fire Light Tidbit? It's a shorter yet version of Bobo (not more than 3'), very heavy flowering and colors up from chartreuse, to white, to strawberry pink, to dark old rose, to russet, and finally to light tan. Several months of bloom from either one is a strong asset, especially since there's a constant color change going on.
