Imo, I think plants look better in groupings with some open space in between the groups.

All of your plants grow to be about the same size. You will have to prune a lot to keep them from covering the walk. I like more height variety such as 6 inch plants on the edges, some 1-2 foot plants and no more than 2 of the 3-4 foot plants. For me the doghobble is too big for the space.
