Foyer help picking a rug

I need help on what kind of rug should go in this space. One big one, a runner, or 2 like I have now? I have a coastal vibe and I love blues. This room is still under construction. Also could use advice if I should make the long wall an accent wall with grass linen wall paper or wood paneling?

I would envision you adding a console table and mirror for your foyer and an area rug that anchors the foyer space.

Was about to suggest the same. I don’t suggest breaking up the room with a focal wall and regarding coastal/blue vibe, be sure it will suit. There are lots of ideas on line (including lighting and rugs) and hopefully you’ll see inspiration that will create a nice flow into your home. Below shows subtle to full scale coastal. If interested, provide pictures of adjoining rooms and you’ll get more helpful advice.

Where does the interior locked door go- the garage? If you can move the rug to the inside of that door, you can do whatever you want in the foyer.
