Bobbi Beck wall mural?

I'd like to get this beautiful wall mural for my dining room: https://www.bobbibeck.com/products/vintage-landscape-wallpaper-mural/
It comes as either paper or vinyl. The paper version has crisper graphics; the vinyl version has softer graphics but will hold up to 6 grandkids better. I'm undecided which kind to get.
My main question is, the vinyl version has a sandy texture -- will that look cheesy or have an odd shine? If anybody has used Bobbi Beck wallpapers before & can comment about them, I'd greatly appreciate some input.

Are you installing a wainscoting? That would handle any possible damage from children.

I believe the intention of the murals is to appear to look like a hand painted scene on the walls, not to look photographic. An impressionistic appearance is desirable.

The murals offered on Etsy, seem to have many more choices of printing material and texture. You might want to compare.

Posting in the UK forum is a good idea, thanks. I did order samples, but it's hard to visualize a roomful of sandy textured, vinyl wallpaper. We're travelling soon. I'll have to pay close attention to the hotel walls. Hotels use a lot of vinyl wall coverings, I've noticed, & some of them are rather nice.

Thank you, deegw! I've dreamed of having a scenic mural in a dining room for 30 years. Now, thanks to computer graphics, it's accessible to us common folks. The scene actually resembles some of the vistas near my new home.

Yes, wainscoting will be installed in a few weeks. Thanks very much for the Etsy suggestions, BeverlyFLD, will take a look at them.
