Bathroom Remodel

Hello do you guys recommend drawers or doors on bathroom cabinets? Looking for advice on functionality. I’m going to raise the vanity to be same height as cabinets, but still vanity. I would like kits for my Dyson air wrap and other tools for primary bath.

If you guys have advice on layout of cabinets pls let me know.

I will also be doing a large shower in primary, walk in shower in guest room downstairs (teal blue/green cabs) and a tub shower upstairs (brown cabs with grey/white curtain).

You're asking about preferences of drawers or doors on vanities? I prefer both. The doors to store cleaning supplies behind and drawers for more personal items.

    Are you asking anything else?

If you intend to store cleaning supplies in the bathroom then yes, a door and drawer combo. If not, then all drawers.

It’s all personal items. No cleaning.

How many baths are you doing at one time, and to what extent the remodel for each?? Vanity storage is EASIEST/ less expensive with a combination of door bases for sinks, and drawer storage for small items. You can also use medicine cabinets.

Are you replacing vanities? Simply trying to raise vanities?

Why is this air wrap difficult to store?

You haven't enough content or clarity to advise much of anything.

Every bath begins with feet and inches, the layout and plumbing locations. Styles and colors and finishes are SECONDARY to function and what fits.

My preference is always separate linen closet for towels and cleaners. Drawers with doors under the sink and a medicine cabinet. You can always add drawers behind the doors if you need to add more.

I am replacing all cabinets in my house as they are builder grade. They’re actually in great condition considering, but I’m replacing my kitchen cabs with full overlay shakers bc of water damage, so I feel like I should replace the other ones in the house so they feel finished and uniform.

I was just wondering if it’s better to do bigger drawers under the bathroom sinks and one of those vertical drawers with the hair tool kit (for Dyson and irons etc) or if it’s better to have doors and a drawer stack instead. I’m not moving location of the cabinets or plumbing, just replacing. Just want to make the best use for functionality.

As far as remodel goes, kitchen is priority then removing carpet to tile in primary bed, and redoing primary bath (removing tub and making one big shower, will need advice as well), replacing cabs, tile etc.

If you are not moving plumbing at vanity? this drives your vanity design..

Which means you need a very accurate drawing of the vanity pace and DRAIN locations.

    This does not inform......

exact locale sink CENTER from each wall of the niche.

Are you keeping soffit. ? You need better more attractive lighting as well.

Spedific to your question about drawers versus doors - I like a combination of both. It's gonna be hard to get all drawers beneath a sink. You will lose space as the topmost drawer would have to be a fake front.

As a professional, I'm sure you appreciaate that professional services are for hire to get into a detailed design scenario. Hire a designer. You REALLY need one if you are asking such basic questions.

A combination of drawers and doors are best for a bath design. As Norwood Architects states, it is not a good idea to do all drawers at the sink location.

Also as Minardi states, a hired designer will provide a design that will best suit your needs.
