I like it. Yes, it's prominent but I still think it looks nice. The color looks good with the stone, it's warm in tone but not matchy-matchy. I don't particularly like the white siding and trim, though, but that's probably a lot more than you want to tackle and it's not terribly offensive.

A big faux pas so IMO paint it now that it is here. Not the perfect answer but for the only answer , There is no way to make that work with that stone . I also have no clue as to the CHT pic as the answer .You start changing siding to go with the wrong door will open a whole can of worms , paint the darn thing in a dark color in the stone is my advice

A professionally trained painter can apply a faux finish to your door to create a different wood finish. This would involve painting an undercoat and then a glaze over top.

Just make a decision as to the final wood finish you desire.

The color is too dark and too red to go with your stone or the rest of your cute house. If your husband doesn't mind you painting it, then choose a color from the stone and try it out. You could either paint the whole door, or have it faux finished in the color you like, or get door skins in that color.

Do you have more pics of the house from farther away? If tie garage door needs to stay as is, I think you need to repeat the wood tone elsewhere. In a front door, chair on pricy, something. I do prefer the house without stone but I also generally dislike stone…You do realize that making massive changes to siding will cost more than changing garage would?
