ID and Propagating honeysuckle from suckers

I found this vine (honeysuckle pericyclemenum?) still blooming at a friend's backyard. It is pretty fragrant, purple/pink buds and outer flower with pale yellow/white inside, dark green leaves with purple stems towards the flowering tips/ terminal ends. Anyhow, I managed to pull out a couple of suckers and just potted them up. Questions:
1. Is it Lonicera periclymenum? If so, which cultivar, if at all identifiable.
2. How much of the vine should i cut off considering the roots i have. Should i try to propagate cuttings. I just potted them up with generous perlite mixed peat based potting mix and watered with seaweed extract mixed water and put them outside. What else can i do to give them optimal chance to make it?
