We got 1.1 inches on Tuesday over ~18 hours. I didn't even go outside on Weds., but today I swear everything looks so much better :-D

Bay Area got drenched too! I'm in a high fire risk zone (Oakland Hills) and I feel so much relief now.

Good to hear. :) Rain is good for the soul. However, that's not quite what I thought during this past incredibly rainy summer. LOL

I too got 1.5-In of blessed rain.

But now, we're back to dry, and hit 85 deg by midday.

We got rain here -- not quite as much -- but a good amount! Sad thing is that I didn't re-apply my Deer Out in the back, and the deer munched all of the roses. So...may not have my fall flush... But so happy to get the rain! Filled 4 of may "rain barrels" (aka big trash cans)!

Congratulations to all you Californians: rain is wonderful, and to get that amount all at once!

It's been dry here for weeks now, finally raining today but, I fear, not much. However, rain a good while back did lead to a respectable fall flush for the Teas, and a handful of blooms on other old roses. I want it to rain so that I can get plants in the zillions of holes my helper has dug and amended. The plants are ready and waiting; now for the weather. We have had beautiful weather.

Deborah - oh drat over those deer! Although I'm glad you got some rain. To lose a whole flush is hard to bear.

Jacqueline -- I heard on the evening news that next week's weather will be dry and hot and windy -- so they are warning it might be a high fire few days... ugh!

Not looking forward to it at all... at least we got an inch of rain last week, which might help a bit (?)

And speaking of rain -- I mentioned I was able to fill our "rain barrels" -- We usually have 1 or 2 little froggies that somehow find their way in and then live there all season long. I don't know how they squeeze in under the lids, but they do. And I let them stay on the premise they are probably eating bugs (and maybe pooping in the water, which I think can't be terrible). Anyway -- we got a little one after that rain!

I hope the fires don't start. Be careful. :) Ist that a toad? Anyway...cutie!!
