I'd do it in the finish of your other faucets and hardware. Let the range copper be the start of the show. Don't try to match it.

I would do stainless like the top of the stove. That copper is super shiny - not sure if you can find a faucet like that.

Many people have said that pot fillers are not as convenient as their press makes them out to be. And if they fail, it’s a real pain to get them fixed. Filling a big pot in the sink is way more convenient in the long run. Go without it.

Your kitchen design “star” is the stove.

I too have had kitchen designers and kitchen supply vendors try to talk me out of pot fillers. Their work was not difficult - I have never wanted one.

The range is beautiful - however, they are not reliable + customer service is AWFUL in U.S.

If it's a "show kitchen" = won't really be used - I suppose if you really are in love with the look - do it. However, there are other nice looking ranges to select from that will not need to be serviced within the first year.

That thing very shortly going to be a giant paperweight. It would be a big mistake to design anything specifically around it. Make sure that you can replace it without it wrecking your kitchen. As in, the size, and color. No 40” ranges!

Aw! Thanks guys for the advice. I ended up getting her today. I’ve been following Ilve group for two years. It’s the Majestic which appears be reliable . I ordered the Kingston brass restoration in copper .

Yeah… I was thinking that but there may be someone in my same position who may want real updates in the future. I’ll post the install and the fixtures we have decided on. I have decided to not delete the thread.

I agree, it is smart to keep this up. There are a lot of good lessons here of what not to do. Others will benefit from this, starting with not ordering at 40" range, and learning about the poor customer service in the U.S. It will get people thinking that a kitchen should not be about looks over function.

Have you priced a 36" replacement that will actually be reliable? Not talking any of the cheap import brands either. No Kucht, Thor, Zline, Fulgor, Smeg, etc.

IMO the best is to have a sink near the range to empty the boiling water not to fill a pot with cold water. Pot fillers lookmlike a great idea but not at allin real life . As for the color really let the range be the star. I have no idea about the quality but an odd size is always a bad idea . BTW Smeg has been in the business for a long time at least 70 yrs and has good reviews often from commercial users but I always check service availability in your are before buying any expensive appliance so no weird size and check service please before designing a whole kitchen around a range
