Living Room Fireplaces Home Decorating

Help! Our raised living room is long with two large entrances and a fireplace in the center. I have never known what to do with it and as a result it is wasted space in our home. I am considering closing off one entrance to make the room cosier but worried I will regret it. Any other ideas or advice would be appreciated!

I do a free furniture-layout sketch using a planning app. You just send me your room dimensions + major furniture sizes.”
- All I need: room length/width, door/window locations, measurement of basic furniture pieces (e.g., sofa size, TV unit size), key function of room (TV viewing? entertaining?).
- “I’ll send back a floor-plan sketch/layout file or image with furniture placed within 48 hours. If you want something different I can try another plan."
- I just immensely enjoy doing this as a hobby, which is why I do not charge for this service.
