Update my living room couch

I want to replace the small light gray couch in my living room. It's the couch in the foreground of the picture. It doesn't fit in terms of style or color. Any suggestions for a couch or two chairs? Any other suggestions?

Well. You seem to want quite a traditional room, yes? Nothing wrong with that, but?

I won't lie, I think the couch in front of the windows feels quite heavy and bulky....

The wing chair appears two different fabrics?

I agree the blue couch may not suit your aesthetic : ) but I see a lot of opportunity for a prettier room. ....even one very traditional in nature.

Can you post pictures from the entry?

The couch in front is light gray not blue, the bluish tint is my camera.. There's a towel on the yellow chair and the gray couch (for the dog). The big gold couch was a bit expensive so I was trying to work with it even though I don't like it anymore. I agree there's a lot of potential! I'll have to post a picture in the other direction when I get back.

Switch to two chairs. It will open the space up.

Since you are not fond of the other couch it would be a shame to duplicate its style. I also think chairs are the better choice and aim traditional/contemporary. Choose a color in your rug (?) and then duplicate in the room with cushions and accessories on fireplace. Down the road, if interested, if your lamps were updated (one on table also shorter), it help tie in the new feel.

Would it be possible to put the tan couch where the light gray couch that you’re removing? Then the wing chair and table in front of the window. One large art over fireplace vs the two pieces of art.

If you were to draw and measure your room? Could be VERY helpful!!! To you.

Note all the dimensions for walls, windows openings, fire .EACH of those ?

Doesn't have to be pretty, just legible and bold: )

Post it in a jpeg below?

KMK love your vintage bicycle art with the rug, tan couch and wing back chair. Would the art piece over at the piano be large enough for above the fireplace? Using just the clock and another taller piece of decor with. Thinking the bird art could stack on the wall left of the big cabinet that’s left of the big window.

I thought it might be too small to go over the mantle, but I'll test it out. Thanks!

It might but with the heavier frame? Just a thought :). Could have tall candlesticks with it?

The couch and two chairs is enough in a room unless it's huge your room's pretty big but I would still prefer a couch and two chairs and if you going to have two couches I think they should match

No gray in that space and I agree 2 nice chairs that match each other would be the best choice . The ones Beverly posted are perfect/
