Prayers for everyone in the storm's path.

That storm looks like a monster. We have family members in South Florida so every mention of hurricanes sets off my radar. I sincerely hope it is not as bad as they are predicting.

C, thinking of your DIL’s family and all others impacted by this storm.

My DH and I were married in Jamaica (it was also October) and fell in love with the island and the Jamaicans who became like family to us even after we left.

Keeping Jamaica in our prayers. We met some wonderful people there during a visit 10 years ago.

Looking very very grim . Prime Minister said there is no infrastructure in Jamaica that can withstand this storm , looking only at recovery now. 😢

My heart is shattered.

Yesterday's predictions were that it would be the worst recorded hurricane in Jamaica's history. Today, that seems to be the case. My thoughts are with your DIL's family, and with everyone impacted.

Fawnridge (on the cooking forum) has posted that World Central Kitchen and Mercy Chefs are looking for cooks to go to Jamica. He has posted links for both organizations, which also has info for donations. I can't go to Jamica, but I can donate. I'm so moved by the good they do.

Do you have any news of your DIL’s family, C? We are praying for their safety.

It is tied as the worst hurricane to touch land in the atlantic. My family is planning to contribute to aid relief but often we would prefer to directly help people in need. please let me know if you DIL’s family needs anything and how to help. Thank you.
