Looking on a map, I see you are not too far from the Dali Museum in St. Petersburg. I’ve never been but I’ve always wanted to go. In another thread, can’t remember which, I asked about it. IIRC, the consensus was that it was worth it if you are in the area.

Safety Harbor is great! We lived in nearby Palm Harbor for years and loved the area. cute shopping and restaurants. Don’t miss nearby Tarpon Springs, another small town with a sizeable Greek population. Known for its restaurants, Orthodox church and sponge fishing industry.

I did my undergrad internship at the Safety Harbor Spa in 1990 LOL. I was at the spa for nearly 4 months taking people on walks, bike rides, and teaching pool and group fitness classes. I know it has changed a lot since that time. I spent a lot of my days off at Clearwater beach with the beautiful white sand. Crabby Bills for crab!

Weather should be perfect then. It was a little chilly when I arrived in January.

Kswl, last year when we visited our friends, we took a bike ride to Tarpon Springs! Had a great lunch there.

I've never heard of Safety Harbor but I have a good friend who lives in Tarpon Springs. I've visited a few times and we always enjoy wandering around the shops and restaurants. Lots of heavy traffic during snowbird season.

My parents had a Winter home in Tarpon Springs for many years and we visited a lot. It’s definitely worth a visit! A great restaurant right on the water. Tour, fishing and diving boats available. Great Greek food and more.

I haven’t been to the spa in decades but it ised to be very nice, with a great restaurant for spa guests. A group of four of us used to take semi-annual spa days together after our kids dispersed to different schools and we no longer saw each other regularly. Those days were high points on my calendar!

Our friends are in Dunedin and we have been there a couple of times (and will be there frequently during our ”snowbird” month!). We actually wanted a rental in Dunedin but couldn’t find the right one.

The spa has personal training packages, which I might take advantage of. Yoga classes, too.

We winter in Clearwater Beach, but just love Dunedin. Don’t know what month you will be there, but Spring training baseball is alot of fun, if you are a fan. The Blue Jays train in Dunedin, and the Phillies are in Clearwater ( I won’t even mention that the Yankees are in Tampa).

Yes, spring training should hopefully be happening!

The spa would have day packages for massages, facials, etc, and to take advantage of the exercise classes, and including meals.

I stay in Palm Harbor for a couple of months and usually go over to Safety Harbor for some events including their chalk festival where artists create amazing drawings on downtown sidewalks. Lots to do in the general area.

Did you check the flight paths from Tampa airport? It is only 8 miles away across the bay with engine noise at a maximum as the planes take off. Might be an issue if you are used to living in a quieter area.

We live about 6 miles from a major airport so I am not too worried about that.
