Please do not drag your kitchen details into the living room.

It would look as bad as the kitchen TERRIBLE is how it would look.

Ah @Monique is so subtle! But I do concur that they would look better without the walnut details.

In a different space, I'd appreciate white lower built-ins with a walnut counter on top. But not in here next to that fireplace / TV/ stone set up. It is such a monolithic column and any kind of more traditional looking millwork just doesn't make sense next to it.

Your kitchen is beautiful and I agree, do not bring the walnut details into the living room

Maybe just a walnut coffee table to bring the rooms together.
